Atheneum: George Grant (Interview, 1973) George Grant was a Canadian philosopher, who is, it seems quite forgotten, ( these days,)

thanks to youtuber   Thamster Witnat for the you tube video.

Canadian philosopher George Grant talks about his unique way of looking at the world in this conversation with Ramsay Cook/

The Atheneum is where the EBL crew showcases appearances and interviews with the thinkers whom's shoulders we stand on in building a philosophy beyond liberalism, where the voices of the past haunt our present and challenge us towards the possibility of a future.

George Grant was a profound Canadian philosopher that lived from 1918-1988 and one of my biggest influences. In this classic CBC interview, he expounds on the looming totalitarianism of liberal society, the coming mental health state, the homogenization of technological enframing, and the defeat of Canadian Nationalism.

Grant displays remarkable prophetic clarity with critiques of liberalism that we live today yet his work contains insights on a way out. Lesser known outside of Canada than the other major philosophers of the 20th century, you owe it to yourself to read his works further. That is, if this volume from the Atheneum lures you on.
