Why are folks debating whether Kamala is "Black" and is it relevant to her presidential prospects? How does one square the belief that White Americans are too racist to
vote for policies that benefit Blacks with a redistributive economic agenda -- much less Reparations? Briahna Joy Gray covers these questions with Assistant Professor of Africana Studies and Political Science at Carleton College, Dr.
Charisse Burden-Stelly (Dr. CBS) in this clip from this week's full premium episode.

The very public and embarrassing L's that Hillary and Kamala have taken so far and will continue to take are my bright, guiding light in this world.
Seeing at least a couple establishment goons get a black eye gives me hope that change can really happen and that the system isn't immovable.

For now electoral politics is pretty much a dead end for the left. We need to focus on building power structures outside of it before we seriously try and go back into electoral politics again.

This clip started at a weird place for me. I would have liked to know more about the guest before that topic was brought up. And no, I am not getting patreon... can't afford it but still love Bri same way. I'm sure this full convo was rich!

We need more activists who really work in their communities and have built trust to run for mayor, or other leading positions but I don’t think they can enter the establishment without changing them either by threats or benefits.

If voting is the democratic participation in
our own oppression, voting as harm reduc-
tion is a politics that keeps us at the mercy
of our oppressors.

13:30 I thought I was watching the left's backbone in action. Brie and CBS should team up for a massive political push in the future. There are no two better suited to lead a movement than them two. They have Deku and Bakougo energy and that is evidently needed.

I wouldn’t care if they use celebrity for political gains, trust and believe I still wouldn’t vote for them, they are part of the game.

Hold up....I'm 50 and solidly on the left. In fact, I'm a proud and open communist. I'm politically homeless, there's nobody for an old white guy like me to vote for. So, I put my effort into mutual aid here in Kentucky. :)
Aside from ageist bias in this segment; good talk!

Buttigieg will probably beat her easily.
As for the left, so far we have no one to run.

Brianha: DD. P transfered to Tech at the barrel of several guns and some f*****d paideia students. Charlie watched and did and said nothing as Nam took a dump in his K-5 elementary school. DD if necessary. Chabot, Paco.
Paco: I was still the new kid and just wanted to fit in. Right Marshawn?

Bre, around 9:30 you made the point about the empty rhetoric "believe black women" and tiny drops of deference from the D-party resulting with Harris as VP. Keep in mind -
prior to the horrific incident with G Floyd, the Party had its eye on Klobachar. Harris was a second/default choice. And I'm of little doubt the Party took a very deep sigh before announcing Harris. The actual carrot/crumb - indeed rhetoric, the Dems were offering was a black woman as supreme court justice, which may
or may not happen during this term. SMH

Paco: Oh, fine Trinity.
Trinity: Ahem. Paco had OPD threaten him twice in right month when he was sixteen and barely on his parents wheels.
